Error: Registration Failed - Code 6

Problem

When an attempt is made to license SilentPrint, a Registration Failed - Code 6 error is displayed.

Solution

Registration Failed - Code 6 is usually seen when an attempt is made to apply a licence key to SilentPrint which is being run on a Windows Vista PC.

Vista security measures require SilentPrint to be launched and subsequently licensed under the Windows Administrator account.

To apply a licence key:

1. Shutdown all instances of SilentPrint;
2. Right-click the SilentPrint desktop shortcut (normally created when SilentPrint is installed);
3. Select the Run As Administrator option from the pop-up menu.

SilentPrint will now be launched under the Administrator account, and the licence key can be applied without experiencing the error.
